2016 Summer Reading Program—Ready, Set, Read!

Don't miss your chance to participate in a reading program of Olympic proportions, this summer at the Millvale Community Library. 

Join us on Saturday, June 4th from 12–5pm for our Summer Kickoff Party! You'll be able to sign up for our summer reading program, where you can read books, collect stamps, and win prizes! 

Check out the list below for a couple of ways that you can compete with your friends to collect stamps to win our Bronze, Silver, and Gold medal prizes!

  • Attend the Summer Kick-off Party on June 4, 2016. (1)
  • Attend a showing of Steel City Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing on either
    •  Saturday, June 4 or Saturday, June 11 (1:00 p.m.) at the Millvale Community Library (see flyer). (1/performance)
  • Show (if you have one) or sign-up (if you don’t) for a Library Card (1)
  • Depending on your age, participate in a reading activity/group (1 per event)
  • T(w)een Book Club (ages 11-17)
  • Family, Infant, Toddler Storytime (ages 0-5)
  • Friday Friends Storytime (ages 6-10)
  • Participate in a summer camp or maker activity (3 per “camp” or 1 per activity)
  • Write a Blog Post for a book you read. (unlimited)
  • Make a poster for a book you read. (unlimited)
  • Talk with a member of the MCL Staff about a book you read. (unlimited)
  • READ!  (unlimited)
